Helen Kippax & Associates is delighted to offer the collection of oils and watercolors from the estate of local Larchmont artist:
Phyllis McDonald Schoenberger
(Feb 24, 1927-August 17, 2019)
A graduate of NYU, Parsons and the Art Students League of New York, Schoenberger’s long career began as an illustrator for Conde Nast with her stylish silhouettes of ladies’ fashions featured in Vogue and other publications.
The scope of her mature work resides in nature and the outdoors. Time spent in the Hamptons produced a series of dune paintings, Vermont countryside offers barns and fields and Maine with its craggy coasts and bluster. As she progresses her style becomes increasingly abstract. Phyllis showed her work in a variety of galleries in New York City and in Larchmont.
For this online 'art show' I have selected a sampling of about 50 of her paintings in oil, acrylic and watercolor for you to consider. The pricing is very modest and a terrific value. If you see something you like there may be others in her studio to complement it. If you see a category you like... beach dunes, Vermont fields, Maine coast, flowers, I can find others to show you and if you are local I can bring to your house or you can meet me at my home office for a socially distanced appointment.
In some cases the pictures are shown with a virtual frame to help you see how it could look properly set off with a frame. I have an affordable online framing service to recommend (Framebridge.com) that will send you a box to ship the art and they will frame and mail back to you with a prepaid label that is included in the price!
